sickly...

i'm home sick today.
i thought i had avoided all the bugs coursing through our neighborhood.  apparently not.  grrr.

in honor of my sickly status, i laid on the couch and made a cute treasury-- cure for the common cold...

i also had an item make it to the etsy front page last week!!!
i neglected to post about it in all of the "send out orders/get ready for christmas" craziness...

 

 

i'm also working on a custom nursery art order for a {very patient} friend.

there have been so many fabulous treasuries lately that i haven't even tried to keep up with them all.  however, two fellow etsians contacted me about these yesterday...so fantastic!

in honor of my wedding anniversary, essie of penelope waits created this lovely lace treasury.

{okay...it had nothing to do with my anniversary, but isn't it a pleasant coincidence? :) }

she did include my ivory lace & buttons headband, though.

such a great day....

first of all, i had art lessons today. those little students of mine are a hoot.

secondly, not one but TWO of my items are featured in this treasury!
thirdly, thanks to my fellow art teacher friend sari i have an awesome opportunity to create some products that might be used for a project provo craft is working on. my payment?

{a free cricut expression machine!}

i basically get to use the machine to make whatever i feel like making that's more art/mixed media/home decor/fashion-oriented rather than scrapbooking/cardmaking-oriented.

how sweet is that?!

plus, i can say i'm on the "art team." i feel so prestigious. :)

today i got a message from etsian srajab1 telling me she included one of my headbands in her treasury...
for those of you non-etsy-savvy people out there, treasuries are put together by members to showcase things they like that are for sale on etsy. usually each treasury is based on a theme--color, subject matter, etc. {click on the screen shot for a better view.}
