I'm back!

You didn't know I was gone, did ya? :)

Last week the hubs and I went on vacation, but I don't like to announce that I'm going to be out of town for all of the internet to see.  (Safety first!)  And I even planned some posts ahead of time so no one would know I was gone.  I'm pretty impressed with myself.  Planning ahead is not my forte.

One thing I didn't do was announce the winners of the necklace giveaway, so without further ado...

creativity pays off...

amy of diary of a quilter recently created a new quilt pattern and turned to the blogging world to find a name for it.
i submitted an idea or two...and she chose one of my ideas!

this isn't the first time i've won a "name this and i'll give you something" contest, either.

(one of my former roommates used my idea to name her photography business.)

good times...

not only am i just having a blast making cute hair things, but i have some good news. i have 2 friends who sell craft items, vinyl, & children's hair accessories at home boutiques and at the county fair...and they have invited me to sell my stuff with them!

{i'm sooooo excited.}

the utah county fair is august 18-21 and the next boutique will be held around that time as well, so i guess i'll be busy crafting/sewing like a mad woman this summer so i have enough stuff to sell.

i also did the cutest little painting recently...but it's a gift for a friend. so i guess i'll have to post about it later so i don't spoil the surprise. :)

ALSO, remember how i've been having a bit of giveaway luck lately? well, apparently it runs in the family...my husband just won a drawing for a sweet flip video recorder. how cool is that?!
