"six B's" sign re-do...

This is a quick little project I threw together yesterday afternoon.

I've had this framed "Live, Laugh, Love" sign hanging in my entry for a few years now, so I decided to switch it up a bit.

All I needed was some fabric from the remnant bin and a little coordinating "Six B's" printable I whipped up.

(The "Six B's" come from a special talk for the youth given by Gordon B. Hinckley when I was in high school.  Those words have stuck in my mind ever since, so I decided to hang them on the wall.)

First, I just took apart the existing picture and used the cardboard backing as a guide to cut out my fabric.  Some pretty wrapping paper would work great, as well.

Then, I taped it to the cardboard.

You could mod podge it or use spray adhesive for a permanent fix, but I wanted to keep it removable so I can change out the signage whenever I get the urge.

Then I just cut out my little printables, stuck 'em on with double sided tape, and slid the whole thing back in the frame.  Easy peasy!

I've turned the "Six B's" into a free printable so you can use them, too.

  1. Kace, just had a thought. I know you're always looking at new craft ideas, and I was thinking you could expand your horizons a little by looking at woodworking. For example, you could make your own frames. Obviously there would be some amount of tool investment you'd need to do, but a lot of those tools could be used by Brandon too (like a chop saw for frames). Just a thought. Hope you're well!

  2. That is SO cute!! Looks all modern and retro at the same time.....that doesn't make any sense but that's what I thought.

  3. Oh how cute!!! Would love for you to link this up at my new turquoise lovin' party!! http://www.sweetlittlegals.com/2011/08/turquoise-lovin-1.html

  4. This is super cute! Thanks for sharing the free printables!
